Food plants have the strictest intake standards of any bulk packaging buyer, and rightly so. Used containers for food-adjacent work should come only from food, beverage and bakery origins, be screened for odor and moisture, and never be stacked with industrial stock.
Where product touches the container, a liner is the contact surface, and your own food-safety requirements decide what is acceptable. Check current regulations and your customer's specification, and say what you need on the form so a partner supplier can quote to it.
